Redey begins the Adventure

Redey awoke to the sound of sizzling in his house.
"Honey, are you awake?" he heard his mom say. Grumpily, he replied, "Yes."
"Come down and get your breakfast! Your adventure starts today!" Redey's mom said. Redey got dressed and went downstairs.
"Did you remember to brush your teeth?" his mom said.
"No." Redey replied.
"Do it now then, your food is almost done."
"OK." Redey went back upstairs to brush his teeth. He looked in the mirror. He was a complete mess. His hair was standing up, his teeth were not very white, and his face was pale.
"I guess I should straighten up while I'm in here." Redey brushed his teeth, wet his hair, combed it, and washed his face.
"Redey, breakfast is ready!"
"OK, mom!" He replied. After breakfast, it was time to say his goodbye.
"Be safe, dear. Don't forget to change your underwear, and brush your teeth. Every single day."
"Yeah, sure, whatever." He replied.
"Don't look so down, it's your first day!" Mom said. Just then, Dad entered the room.
"Son, I want you to know that whatever happens, stay strong with your Pokemon. By the way, which one are you going to pick?"
"Chikorita." And with that, Redey set off for Greentop Town, which is only a 5 minute walk. On the way, he spent the whole time thinking.
"How am I going to raise this Pokemon. Where to battle, how to battle? It's all so confusing...." Redey arrived at Greentop. It was beautiful. There were trees everywhere, PEOPLE everywhere, the lush scenery made Redey cheer up.
"Let's do this thing!" And with that, he entered the lab.
"Prof. Juniper, you here?"

"Boo!" a young girl jumps out from a room, attempting to scare you, though she failed. "You could at least act scared." she muttered as she took you to the back of the lab. "You're here for a starter like everyone else aren't you?" she sighed. She'd been busy today, and had had no time for her tea party!

"Yes ma'am." Redey replied.
"I was hoping to get a Chikorita."

"You can get it right? I'm awfully tired of getting that stupid stool out constantly. The cabinet is right there." she said, pointing to a cabinet marked 'Chikorita'. She pulled out a Disney magazine and started reading.

"New magazine, eh? I haven't read that one yet. Won't have time to either."
Redey pulls the stool out and opens the cabinet.
"I just take one of these Pokeballs right?"
Redey takes a Pokeball.

(past tense please. Only I talk in present. for example, me: walks you: walked)

"Yeah. Here's a bag of stuff" she says, still looking at the magazine, and she plops a bag on the table. "The door is that way" she points to the door, not lifting her head, yet again.

"Wait before I go, what's in the bag?"
Redey looks in the bag.

"Just some Pokeballs, potions, running shoes. All the standard junk" she replies.

"Well, I must be off then. But before I go, I choose you, Chikorita!"
Chikorita made it cry.
"Wow its so cute isn't it?"
"And one more question: Where do I go from here."

"Head outside, and then go left to Wistaria City!" she calls to you.

"OK. Thank you for everything Prof.! Good luck in your research!" And with that, Redey heads to Wistaria City, to start his Pokemon Adventure!

As you leave the lab you bump into a girl with a cap and a brown fluffy ponytail. "Hey! Watch it.... Redey? Is that you?" she says as she smiles at you.

"Yeah it is me. Are you.... Citrus?"

(facepalm -.-)

"I told you! Call me Cissy!" she cried. "So, did you just get a starter?"

"Sure did. How about you?"

"Let's see it." she smiled slyly at you. "TORCHIC! YOU'RE ON!" she cried, tossing her Pokeball up, and it landed on the ground and with a red beam, a Torchic appeared.

Redey takes the Pokedex out.
"Torchic, the chick Pokemon. Torchic sticks with its trainer because of its loyal personality. Since is was just born, it has unsteady balance.
"A Torchic, huh?" Redey thinks to himself.
"Type wise, Torchic has the advantage, but lets see if Chikorita can handle the fire!"
"GO CHIKORITA!"

"Torchic! Scratch!" she called out and her Torchic rushes forward at Chikorita.

"Chikorita, dodge and use Tackle!"

Your Chikorita attempts to dodge, but Torchic scrapes it back leg. Regardless, Chikorita gets up and charges at Torchic. Torchic is smacked backwards, but it gets up. "Torchic, Growl then Scratch again!" Torchic nods and after growling it charges at Chikorita, but the growl gives Chikorita more time to react, because he already knew the next attack.

"Chikorita, dodge it, then run towards Torchic! You know what to do after that, don't you?"

This time Chikorita managed to dodge and it curled around and tackled Torchic from behind. Torchic stumbled, then fell, KO'ed. "Good work Torchic, return." Cissy said, returning Torchic to it's Pokeball. "I'll see you around Redey" she said and then she walked away.
