Wistaria: The First Gym!

Seedot begins to use bide on one side of the battlefield. Chikorita stares up at you and nods, preparing to fight.

"Chikorita, climb into the tree and get ready to pounce. Seedot, you stay right there!"

Chikorita nodded and scampered up the tree, while Seedot continued to charge.

"Chikorita, tackle it! Seedot, you're up!"

Seedot released it's energy just as Chikorita made contact, giving both a ton of damage. They panted, tired and weak.

"Come on guys, I believe in you! Seedot you've got to get up!"

(they never fell down.)

(sorry, I thought they did, misread)

"Seedot are you OK?"
"Seedot, see."
"Ok Chikorita are you OK?"
"Chikko....chikko."
"OK then Chikorita get back here to me, Seedot you stay there and use Bide once more! Chikorita, do you know what I'm asking you? That's right, scramble up that tree and make a fearsome Growl! Then on my command, Tackle OK?"

Seedot used Bide again and stored up energy. Chikorita ran back up the tree, let out a Growl and then prepared to tackle.

"Chikorita, don't tackle it just yet! Seedot, can you move when you are using bide? If so, get on that little hill over there!"

Redey points to a nearby ledge.

Seedot waddles very slowly, as to keep it's concentration and finally makes it to the ledge.

"Good job Seedot! Now Chikorita, try to tackle Seedot! And Seedot I want you to use bide as soon as you think the time is right!"

Chikorita ran forward, and just as he was about to hit him, Seedot let out his Bide, causing Chikorita major damage.

"Chikorita, come back! Seedot come back!"
Redey watched as they limped to him.
"You guys did great, lets go to the Pokemon center. Here Seedot, hop on my shoulder."

Seedot nodded as it climbed upon your shoulder. Chikorita pawed at your pants. It obviously wanted to be lifted as well.

"Come on Chikorita, you can ride too. And while I'm at it Seedot, I'm going to name you. I'll name you.... Chernov. Do you like that name? And Chikorita, since you are my first Pokemon, I'll name you Redey!"

The two nodded as Chikorita hopped on your Shoulder too. They both seemed to like their new nicknames.

"Let's go to Wistaria, and see if we can't find that Gym Leader. Who knows? Maybe we'll run into Citrus again. Let's go rest up guys."

They nod and you head down the path towards Wistaria City, but as you do so, a Seedot hops out of nowhere and stares menacingly at your Seedot. It seems that they were old rivals and they want to battle!

"Chernov.... are you feeling the urge to battle. Are you tired?"

The Seedot shook it's head no and hopped down to the ground, prepared to fight the other Seedot.

"Alright Chernov if this is what you wish.... use Bide!"

Chernov nodded and stored up energy, as did the other Seedot. Now it was a matter of who could build up their energy faster.

Chernov, slowly waddle to the tree next to you, actually, stand behind it!"

Chernov nodded, and keeping it's focus, waddled behind the tree. It seemed both were ready to release energy. Perhaps hiding behind the tree would leave them both at a disadvantage, one being unable to hit the other.
