The first Challenge: Alexandra!

"We've made it guys, but there's no light! How do we see?"

"Finally. A Trainer to challenge me." A voice said, from within the darkness. "Your Pokémon can see. You must trust them to lead you to me, and this is your first gym trial."

"Alexandra? Wow it's nice to meet you, but let's find you first."

"All right guys, lead me to her, I BELIEVE in you."

Ambipom grabbed your hands with it's two tails, who then used it's hands to hold onto Seedot, who was on Chikorita's back. Soon enough, they led you through the darkness, and there, in lantern light was the first gym leader, Alexandra. "So, you have faith in your Pokémon, and your Pokémon have faith in you. Are you ready. Return them to their Pokéballs and the match will begin."

"Alright. Redey, return, Chernov, return, Snatchy, return. Are you ready, Alex?"

"Yes. I will be choosing my Pokémon first." Alex said, as she dropped a Pokeball to the ground and a Zorua emerged. "You have the upper hand. Do what you think is best."

"Woah a Zorua? Hmm.... I'll choose.... Chikorita!"

"You may move first, challenger."

"Chikorita, Razor Leaf, go!"

"ZORUA! Mirror Move!" Alexandra called out as the Razor Leaves rushed forward, but were reflected and fired back, smacking Chikorita.

"Chikorita, are you OK?! Get up! You're my trump card and I believe in you! Please Chikorita! Get up and use Tackle!"

Chikorita ran forward, attempting to Tackle Zorua, who returned with a Roar, pushing Chikorita back. "You must learn to not only attack with moves, but to analyze your opponent's moves and then use their moves against them."

Redey thinks.

"Chikorita, jump, NOW!"

Chikorita lept into the air, Zorua looked up and opened it's mouth, awaiting it to land.

"Growth, then Razor Leaf! Use the leafs to jump into the air again!"

(Growth? jump into air again? It never landed... confuzzled)

((the longer it stays in the air gives it more opportunities to attack, and doesn't Redey know Growth?))

(It knows Growl...)

Chikorita climbed upon the leaves, Zorua still staring at it.

"Now Chikorita, Tackle!"

Chikorita tackled the Zorua, who returned by biting it's leaf. Chikorita fell to the ground, but scrambled up. "Sometimes a different attack angle can make a difference, but not in this battle."

"I don't understand what you're saying.... Chikorita, jump and try to get behind Zorua, and use Razor Leaf!"

"Think. Use Zorua's weaknesses against itself! Redey, you're much smarter than this. You have more than Chikorita." she replied. as Chikorita attempted to jump above Zorua, but Zorua returned with a Sucker Punch, knocking Chikorita down.

"How? I don't understand...."

"Chikorita is not your only Pokémon."

"Chikorita, return!"

"Go, Ambipom!"
