Roleplay Sample:Edonovan, taken by surprise, did what he always did when plummeting through the air towards the all-too-hard ground, falling at an all-too-fast rate: he flared his wings and hoped they wouldn't be torn off. The resistance flung him clear of the crash itself by several metres and straight into the side of the Airstation's main building. Fortunately for him, the impact to his head was minor. Unfortunately for everybody else, with his concentration in pieces, Edonovan, already mentally wearied by retaining Hazmal's conciousness for an extended period, was unable to keep up the strain. As the Ethereal's calming influence slipped away, Edonovan made one last grab for the departing spirit- and missed. His mental line had, however, snagged another entity, and, as thought departed him, he reeled it in, hoping for some form of additional power to help him, to keep his fury bound. As the Ethereal's mind and powers synced with his own, Edonovan screamed. It was a high-pitched sound of pure terror, of utter horror at what he felt unleashed.
He had made a grevious error.
Slowly, the Beast rose. "Huuuuuuunnngrrrryyy..." it snarled. Its nostrils flared, detecting the fear scents of its preferred prey: Live sentients.
Turning toward the city center, Edonovan-Nerral hissed out two words, over and over, like a dark wizard's spell. Faster and faster the repitition went, rising to a screech that ended in a roar, a lust-filled, terrible noise that echoed across Memoriam, cutting through the din of the chaos.
