Phi strides through the lab doors for the first time breathing in the fresh air and smiling. he looks around, spots the professor, and greets her. "hi, im new here, but i remember you from Wikipedia. you're professor Jupiter, right?"

"Yeah! And It's Juniper." the young child replies rudely. She doesn't take kindly to those who forget her name. "You want a Pokémon right?"

"oh, sorry, juniper. im not even going to pretend i knew that." says Phi in a lame attempt at recovery (his face becomes slightly red) "anyways, yes, i was hoping that you had a Pokemon ready for me. actually, a Machop specifically"

(please, use capitals and refrain from using parenthesis with-in your RP. If you have something to say that is out of character, then put it away from your RP, not in the middle. As that was part of your RP, just remove the parenthesis and put a comma, then change becomes to became)

"Yeah. There's a Machop in that cabinet labeled Machop!" she muttered, pointing to the cabinet. "You can reach it better than me. You can get it yourself."

"Okay, thanks," says Phi and goes to take a pokeball from the cabinet labeled Machop. He takes one and goes to leave. As he walks out, he turns to give the inside of the lab one last look.

As you leave, you bump into a young blonde girl who is wearing a pink jacket and jeans. "Phi? Is that you? No way! It's me!" she replies, staring at you intently, to be sure she didn't make a mistake.

(You get to name your rival... say something like '___ is that you?')

Well of course its me, Kit. You know nobody else has hair like mine. Anyways, I see you've made it to Greentop too?

"Yeah. I was just about to start my Pokémon journey." Kit replied.

"well i just got my first pokemon. Say, why don't I wait for you to get yours, and we can have a battle?"

"Tad slow, you are!" she laughed, revealing that she already had Pokeball.

"Well in that case: lets dance" said Phi as he jumped back and released his new Machop. "Hey" he said addressing his pokemon, "ready for your first trainer battle?"

"RALTS! You're on!" Kit cried, letting her Ralts out to battle.

"Machop, use leer and get closer!"

"Ralts! Confusion quick!" Kit shouted as Machop ran closer after using Leer. It took the confusion, which did a lot of damage, because psychic moves were extremely effective against fighting-types.

The confusion blasted Machop back a bit, but he was still closer than he was before. "Now jump forward and use low kick" Phi commanded

(Sorry, but you don't control how much damage it does, I do, so that a member can't just say 'the confusion didn't hurt at all. Machop used low kick and blasted the opponent back.)

Machop was weak, but he ran forward and jumped and kicked Ralts, but it obviously didn't do much damage because of the type-disadvantage. Ralts Growled at Machop and ran forward, ready to use another Confusion.
